The one piece buckle is solid cast brass. It is copied from the original, circa 1861-1865, with particular attention to detail. This style was worn by Confederate soldiers. The 'tongue' style frame buckle refers to the class of Confederate frame buckles made with some form of movable tongue.

This buckle will fit a 1 3/4" wide belt.
