The 1851 Navy Steel, a solid-frame design that was both elegant and reliable, was the prevailing choice of the military officers in the Civil War.

The 1851 is a six-shot, .36 caliber revolver with a blue finish, Brass backstrap, and forged frame. The barrel is 5" and the trigger guard is brass.  This 1851 navy model features a case hardened steel frame, blued parts, brass backstrap and triggerguard, octagonal barrel, and an walnut Navy size grip.
