9th Cavalry Hat Pin

Historical background: Formed as a segregated African-American unit, the 9th Cavalry was one of the original "Buffalo Soldier" regiments in the post–Civil War Regular Army.
The insignia is made of brass and has a wire back for attaching to the hat.
