Cavalry Saber - Confederate |

Of all the Confederate swords and sabers this one was the one used most. Wielded by the troops under the command of J.E.B. Stuart, Wade Hampton, and Nathan Bedford Forrest, this saber dispatched horsed of Yankee soldiers. This is a very distinctive saber with a brass guard similar to that of the 1860 Light Cavalry Saber. This saber is a fine reproduction and a faithful copy of the originals used. The hand forged blade is British military spec fully tempered 1095 high carbon steel. The brown leather grip is wrapped with brass wire and the pommel and guard are brass. The blade has the classic Confederate "unstopped" fuller. The scabbard has brass furniture, ring mounts, and drag. The blade is unsharpened. This saber is collector grade. This saber features a 34" long, curved blade.
